FLEXZONE LIFE MAGAZINE Fall 2026 | Editor's Letter

Adrienne and Smitty smiling together

Fall has a way of feeling like a fresh start, and this issue is proof of that.

We've expanded again. Since our Summer launch, you've been able to find Flexzone Life Magazine in Los Angeles and Orange County, California; Houston and Austin, Texas; Atlanta, Georgia; and across New Jersey. Now we've extended our Southern California footprint into San Diego. A note on where exactly you'll find us. We're proud to say Flexzone Life Magazine sits in select premium locations, including Whole Foods, H-E-B, Vons, Stop & Shop, ShopRite, and Wawa, but if you can't find us on a shelf, that's not an accident. Every location was chosen with real intention. We'd rather be somewhere on purpose than everywhere without one.

This issue also marks our first standalone, non-grocery pickup location. You can now find Flexzone Life Magazine at Soleil Universal Research Center in Edison, New Jersey, the nation's first Black female-owned cosmetic research center, focused on multitextured hair and diverse skin tones. You'll hear more from SURC's founder, Theresa Hemmingway, later in this issue.

You'll also notice a brand-new feature debuting in this issue: Meet the Editor When She's Not Editing, a look at what I'm doing outside of these pages, tied back to something worth sharing with you. This issue's edition takes you to Broadway with me.

Wellness Abroad is evolving too. What started as an introduction to the concept in Summer is now a true recurring column. Starting this issue and every quarter going forward, we'll sit down with a different expat living abroad to talk about what wellness looks like when you build a life somewhere new.

On the digital side, Flexzone Life Magazine now has a dedicated online home at FlexzoneLifeMagazine.com, and Flexzone Life Magazine on Instagram.

I also want to personally invite you into something we're starting as a community. Beginning as this issue hits shelves, Flexzone Life (our parent company) is kicking off 100 Days of Breathwork and Stretching, a practice I need just as much as anyone reading this. Breathwork most mornings, stretching in the evenings. Follow along on our YouTube channel at youtube.com/@flexzonelife.

As you move through this issue, you'll notice it follows the rhythm of the season. September brings Healthy Aging Month and Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. October brings Breast Cancer Awareness Month. November brings Entrepreneurship Month, echoed in Maria Aparicio's story on building Sol Beauty Company from the ground up.

Lastly, a preview for anyone reading this with their own brand in mind. Turn the page, and you'll see Smitty and me standing against a tree, strong enough to hold us both, one that's still growing, still rooted, still sharing its strength and growth with everyone who leans into it. That's the same growth we're inviting you into. Starting October 1st, the doors open to advertise with Flexzone Life Magazine. Strength looks better shared, and so does growth. Email us at info@flexzonelifemagazine.com or visit our website. (Sidenote, yes "me" is grammatically correct as opposed to "I." I struggled to leave it as "me," but I couldn't wrap the letter up without explaining it to you.)

Thank you for growing with us. This issue was made with a lot of care, and I hope you feel that in every page.

This is Wellness Rewritten. This is Flexzone Life Magazine.

With gratitude,
Adrienne & Smitty
